MaDdIe Is MoViNg To TeXaS...

Every day is a new adventure...especially with a 2-year-old. We have quickly realized that Maddie has learned the art of sarcasm and quick comebacks. The other evening, Maddie was jumping on the bed when I asked her to stop...here is the rest of the conversation
Me, "Maddie stop jumping on the bed." Maddie while wagging her finger, "I am going to Texas!" Chuck, "Who is in Texas?" Maddie very angrily, "Sandy is in Texas!"
Sandy would be Sponge Bob's squirrel friend who IS from Texas.

Maddie enjoyed seeing the Easter Bunny (even though it doesn't appear so). She got some new things for her Bitty Baby, colored Easter eggs and hunted down her basket. Now we are ready for warm weather (consecutive days of warm weather)!!

Maddie has decided that she wants to be a dancer...I guess numerous dance parties and watching Aunt Emily dance can do that to a girl. She brought out her little "boombox" and put on a show for me today. After each song she would bow, say "thank you" and then go "off stage." Only to return when the next song started. The image of her in the tutu and necklaces reminds me of the Material Girl herself, Madonna.

gRoWiNg Up

Maddie is growing up so fast. I have to remind myself that she is only two!! Sometimes I feel as though I am "arguing" with a teenager...is this a preview of what is to come?! She is so active and keeps us on our toes. Nothing seems to get past her. She has really become a little companion. Maddie LOVES Disney movies and the Disney Channel. It is an amazing experience to watch her understand cause and effect and to test her limits. Her interactions with people, children and animals truly show what a compassionate little girl she is.
